It’s really great when the roads are all fixed up and new and stuff. You know what’s not great? Road work. It scares the hell out of Sinatra. All the trucks and loud noises really freak her out. We do try to avoid it as much as possible, but we still get near some of it. She’s a real trooper though.
Sinatra: Why are they tearing up the road?
Me: So they can replace the old broken pieces with new pieces.
Sinatra: Why does it have to be so loud.
Me: Sometimes things are just loud.
Sinatra: It smells bad too.
Me: Yeah, it’s not great is it?
Sinatra: No. Loud and stinky. Like Monet.
Me: She’s not loud.
Sinatra: You don’t sleep next to her at night! She snores almost as loud as you!
Me: Sorry about that.
Sinatra: It’s ok. Hey- can we go get in that dump truck?
Me: I don’t think so. Why?
Sinatra: I want to see if they have any treats in there, and maybe we can just turn it off and I can eat the keys.
