Stretch and rooroo. Take your hooman for a run. Talk to your hooman about the big stuff. Potty. Drink some water. Eat some good stuffs. Potty. Get hooman ready for work. Nap til hooman gets home.

Great run by the bestest girl! She kept a super solid pace and scored her best 4-6 mile pace! Lots of her friends were out today and she didn’t even stop for a what’s up?! Total focus. Except for Krispy, the German Shepherd she has a crush on. He was out on a run with his hooman. Other than that- amazing concentration. And the squirrels- yeah they may have gotten her attention as well. But then she’s right back on track. Aaaaaaaand the geese….. stupid geese. Besides them, she was pure lightning, eyes ahead, put the blinders on and…. Who are we kidding?

Sinatra: No, keep on, I think you forgot a couple though.

Me: What?

Sinatra: I’m also really strong.

Me: Yep.

Sinatra: And beautiful.

Me: Yep.

Sinatra: And I’m basically a super hero. Like Supergirl.

Me: Right.

Sinatra: You got all that?

Me: Mmmhmm, totally.

Sinatra: Good deal.

This was her face when I told her I didn’t think I had a run in me this morning….. now that is some serious husky drama. Our conversation went like this:

Me: I don’t think I can do it today furball.

Sinatra: Awe but why?

Me: Cause I’m sore and tired.

Sinatra: You know, one day you might not be able to do this.

Me: Oh here we go….

Sinatra: Today is not that day buddy.

Me:😶

Sinatra: C’mon! You can put on the new Banks album and let her jamz push you through.

Me: *grabs leash* I guess you do make a compelling argument.

Sinatra: And plus, I’m a husky.

Me: What’s that got to do with anything.

Sinatra: Umm, like everything! A husky is basically the closest thing hoomans have to brains.

Me: We have brains.

Sinatra: You do, cause you have me. Now, don’t you feel bad for all the people that don’t have a husky?

Me: Yeah…. I do.

A beautiful, sunny and 68° this morning! She scored her 3rd fastest four to six mile run. Not a goose anywhere in sight. I wonder sometimes if they have started some kind of calling chain to warn all the others that she is on the trail. Then I remember that they don’t seem to be very smart at all. She was pretty quiet for a long time and then out of the blue….

Sinatra: hey, do you know how a dog stops a VCR?

Me: hmmm, I don’t.

Sinatra: It presses the “paws” button!

Me: She’ll be here all week y’all….

Surprise run for my bestest furball! I couldn’t sleep last night so I decided to get up as soon as it was light outside. She was very shocked to see me come downstairs. But she was ready!

Sinatra: You’re up early!

Me: I know. You feel like running?

Sinatra: I’m a husky, I always feel like running.

Me: I guess you do don’t you.

Sinatra: Yep, let’s go!

Me: Let’s stretch first and have a cup of coffee.

Sinatra: No coffee for me thanks.

Me: Ok. Just me then.

Sinatra: It just tastes like dirt to me.

Me: But you eat dirt all the time.

Sinatra: No I don’t! I eat stuff in the dirt.

Me: Oh, I suppose that’s different.

Sinatra: Yeah. Dirt is gross.

Me: So is eating sticks and you eat those all the time.

Sinatra: Nope, sticks are yummy!

Me: They are usually covered in dirt, and you make a huge mess with them.

Sinatra: Sorry, not sorry.

Me: You could at least clean up afterwards.

Sinatra: But you do that for me. I’ve got rabbits and squirrels that need to be chased. I don’t have time for cleanup. I don’t have thumbs either.

On today’s edition of ‘Cool Runnings with Sinatra’: She kept her usual pace for an easy Sunday morning run. About a mile and a half in we came upon a whole bag of trash someone decide to discard. She had some questions about it, and it went sorta like this:

Sinatra: Why do hoomans throw out trash on the nature?

Me: I don’t know girl, I bet their momma didn’t teach them to clean up after themselves like yours did.

Sinatra- But won’t the goosers swallow it up and be hurting?

Me: That’s right furface.

Sinatra: Then they can’t makes the poo snacks!

Me: No pup they can’t.

Sinatra: Dis is sad stuffs.

Me: It really is isn’t?

Sinatra: I miss momma.

Me:😥

Sinatra: *clearly emotional*, she helps herself to a goose poo snack.

She got her best 4-6 mile pace this morning! Great run for the bestest furface. I think everyone needs a Sinatra to run with. It certainly makes it more interesting. When I travel and run without her it’s kinda boring really. I do think about what she might have to say about places we visit. We took a different path today to change it up a little.

Sinatra: Why are we going this way?

Me: I thought a change would be nice.

Sinatra: Why?

Me: It’s fun to see new things and explore new places.

Sinatra: I get it, but I really like our usual path too.

Me: Yeah, it’s a good one for sure, but maybe this one is good too.

Sinatra: Maybe. I’ll let you know.

Me: Please do.

Sinatra: Is that a….

Me: Uh oh…

Sinatra: Hey!

Me: Be cool furface!

Sinatra: Hey little husky pup!

Me: I think he’s training so let’s not disturb them.

Sinatra: Hey! Let’s play or just smell butts!

Me: C’mon let’s stay on track.

Sinatra: Bye little husky!

Me: Well that was new.

Sinatra: Yeah, he said there were some goosers up ahead too. This is a good path.

On this Sunday’s edition of Cool Runnings with Sinatra ‘The Real Runkeeper’ Jackson- she kept one of her best four to six mile paces. I let her pick the running tunes. I asked her what she wanted and she responded with ‘roORoORoOO.’ Obviously, that meant she wanted me to put on The Satch and let his sweet melodies carry us on our way. I didn’t even realize she was in to guitar music like that.

Sinatra: Can you play guitar like Satch?

Me: I wish I could, but it’s not really my style of playing so I never learned to play like that.

Sinatra: You should learn to play that style too.

Me: Maybe one day I’ll work on that.

Sinatra: Have you ever seen him in concert?

Me: I have. It was very good, and probably the loudest show I’ve ever been to.

Sinatra: Yeeeees! I bet it rocked!

Me: I didn’t think you really liked loud stuff.

Sinatra: I bet they would turn it down for me.

Me: They would not.

Sinatra: Then I would just throw my paws in the air like didn’t care all that much.

Me: I bet you would furball, I bet you would.

Me: Yeah? It’s not intentional. Somebody sheds a lot.

Me: She doesn’t really shed though.

Sinatra: I bet it’s one of the little hoomans stuffed animals. They make messes.

Me: Nah. I’m pretty sure I know who it is.

Sinatra: You should probably shave them.

Me: It’s you furface!

Sinatra: Not me! You can’t shave me! I’ll get cold.

Me: I’m not gonna shave you, not ever. I love your fur. I just don’t like wearing it.

Sinatra: At least it goes with everything.

Me: I suppose it does.

Sinatra: And you get to take me everywhere you go so you don’t forget about me.

Me: I wouldn’t forget about you.

Sinatra: Good. Also, if another puppy sees it they’ll know not to mess with you cause I know the goose mafia.

Me: Huh?

Sinatra: Yeah, you don’t mess with the goose mafia.

Me: Good to know.

Sinatra: Yeah, so after this run I’m gonna need a nap and some extra treats if you know what’s good for ya…
